We also were not able to get a sample quote from College Hunks because the company requires in-person visits before providing you with a moving estimate for long-distance moves. While this isn’t the most convenient practice and makes it a bit more time-consuming to receive a moving quote, we appreciate the team’s commitment to providing the most accurate estimates possible. College Hunks’ estimates are non-binding, meaning that they can be adjusted if you need to get rid of additional items before the start of your move.

College Hunks does include loading as its basic moving services so long as you schedule at least a partial move. The representative that we spoke with over the phone seemed to be overall knowledgeable on the moving process, providing us with clear instructions and requests for information to ensure that the moving date w were considering was available. Though the company specializes in its full-service moving processes, it also offers junk removal, packing, and even minor demolition services.

Cost

College Hunks does not provide moving quotes via online estimate or phone call because they must complete an in-home inspection before issuing a final estimate. However, you can submit a request to speak with a College Hunks professional by submitting a request for an online quote. The request system we used was fast and efficient—we requested a quote for a long-distance move for a 2-bedroom apartment and received a phone call from a representative within 30 minutes. We even requested a moving quote at 8pm at night and received a response before the morning.

Like most moving companies, College Hunks takes a wide range of factors into consideration when setting their prices. When we spoke to a representative, we were asked to provide the following information before meeting in-person to complete the estimate.

• The number of bedrooms that we needed to move
• The starting address of the move
• The destination address
• The type of property that the movers would be transporting (house, apartment, condo, etc.)
• Whether or not there were any flights of stairs at the origin or destination address

Our customer service representative was friendly and helpful, informing us that travel fees, gas fees and additional expenses associated with moving would be included in our quote. He also confirmed that the company does offer limited free cancellation services, minus any deposit paid. We believe that these services would be suitable for both residential and commercial moves, as the company offers comprehensive estimates and hybrid pricing. Payment can be made via cash or credit card.
